We Must Demand Congress Impeach Trump

The politicians are failing us once again. Robert Mueller has failed to make the case for impeachment. And Democrats want to play political games by officially taking impeachment off the table. They want to be able to run against what they believe is a weakened president. They are assuming their party will sweep the elections in 2020. We can’t base our national survival on what they believe Democrats are convinced will happen. They also thought that Hillary would beat Trump in 2016.
Therefore it is up to us, We The People, to act and demand Trump be forced from office.

With all good dictators, they don’t make mistakes. If there was a breach at mar-a-lago then it’s someone else who is to blame. And if that someone else complains they are removed. Eventually there will be no one else to fire. Because only Donald Trump is competent:
The Secret Service didn’t make a mistake in the Zhang case, but Trump wants a Secret Service director who will not try to keep his properties secure. Randolph Ailes is out as Secret Service Direct possibly because he wanted better security at Trump’s properties.
The Secret Service spoke out about the security issues at Mar-a-Lago and the result was Trump trashing national security to likely place one of his own loyalists in charge. Ailes was also fired because he was loyal to former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, but never underestimate the fact that competence and following the law are traits that will always be punished by Donald Trump.
Mnuchin is Violating the Law by Interfering in the Turning over of Trump’s Taxes

More law breaking by Mnuchin:
North Korea is playing Trump, just as it did with past presidents
Trump has a thing about being duped by dictators:
To the editor: In calling into question White House national security advisor John Bolton’stake-it-or-leave-it approach to North Korea’s nuclear disarmament, Robert Carlin ignores the commitment Kim Jong Un made in the Singapore summit joint statement, namely the “firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.”
Since the Singapore summit last June, U.S. intelligence reported the continuing production of nuclear weapons materials, weapons and delivery systems. Contrary to Carlin’s presumption, Trump’s pragmatism has not proved to be superior to efforts by prior U.S. administrations nor those of South Korea and the International Atomic Energy Agency, which repeatedly negotiated nuclear elimination deals that Pyongyang violated.
Trump’s presidency has produced a small army of whistleblowers — and they’re secretly working with House Democrats
The Democrat-controlled House Oversight Committee now claims that it is secretly in contact with “dozens” of people inside and outside the Trump administration who wish to expose its wrongdoing.
House Democrats told The Atlantic that “there is a small army of whistleblowers from across the government who have been working in secret with the House Oversight Committee to report on alleged malfeasance inside the Trump administration.”
A senior aide from the panel said that there are “dozens” of whistleblowers cooperating with the committee who either currently or previously worked within Donald Trump’s administration.

Michael Cohen finds hard drive with files he thinks Congress should see
More headaches for the Don:
Michael Cohen’s attorneys sent lawmakers a letter on Thursday, letting them know that President Trump’s former personal lawyer and fixer has more information to offer.
In the letter, Lanny Davis and Michael Monico revealed that Cohen recently found a hard drive with “substantial” files on it, which might be helpful to investigators, CNN reports. In February, Cohen testified in front of lawmakers, accusing Trump of financial fraud. This came two months after he was sentenced to three years in prison for financial crimes, campaign finance violations, and lying to Congress.
Trump Says Wind Turbine Noise Causes Cancer. (It Does Not.)
I’m pretty sure listening to Donald Trump on a regular basis causes illness, though.
President Trump has long despised wind power. He has repeatedly blamed wind turbines for killing birds (which they do at a lower rate than other energy sources) and for allegedly causing electrical power to halt when the wind stops blowing (in fact, electricity grids using mixed power sources and battery storage have solved this problem.) In a speech tonight to House Republicans, Trump claimed that wind turbines cause cancer.
“They say the noise causes cancer,” the president of the United States asserted.
Wind turbines do not cause cancer. Some people blame the noise for causing a variety of other health ailments, but these charges have zero scientific validity. Cancer is not caused by noises of any kind.
A power source that does cause many health problems, including cancer, is coal, an extremely dirty fuel Trump loves and has attempted to bolster, with almost no success. Aside from costing more to produce energy than other sources of power, and in addition to enormous air pollution side effects, coal also emits greenhouse gases in large amounts. Though this of course is another aspect of science Trump rejects.
Jonathan Chait: My Article Saying Trump Was Compromised by Russia Was Right
I’ve been saying for some time that we don’t the Mueller Report to tell us that Donald Trump is a Russian agent of influence (a Manchurian Candidate):
The story argued that the breadth and depth of connections between Trump and Russia suggested the scandal was probably worse than most reporters and pundits perceived at the time. The media was giving too much weight to the unlikely outcomes on one side of the distribution — that Trump’s relationship with Russia was completely innocent — and discounting unlikely outcomes on the other side — that Trump was very deeply compromised. “The media has treated the notion that Russia has personally compromised the president of the United States as something close to a kook theory,” I wrote. The most likely possibility, I proposed, was that Russia was exerting some kind of hidden leverage over Trump.
The conclusion has proven completely correct. We now know that during the campaign, Trump was pursuing a building deal in Russia worth several hundred million dollars in profit, according to an indictment by Robert Mueller that Trump has not disputed. This deal created two forms of secret leverage for Vladimir Putin. First, the money was a powerful incentive for Trump to stay in Putin’s good graces. And second, since Trump was publicly denying that he had any dealings with Russia, Putin had access to secret information that he could use to embarrass Trump if he so desired.
Trump: I Didn’t Know AMI Was Investigating Amazon’s Jeff Bezos
Uuuh, yes you did. And now there is an investigation:
President Trump claimed Tuesday that he was not aware that National Enquirer publisher American Media, Inc., was investigating Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in preparation for their blockbuster report about his extra-marital affair. When Trump was asked if he was aware of the investigation, CNN’s Brian Stelter reports, Trump shook his head and responded, “No, no I wasn’t.” Bezos has accused the publisher of blackmailing him with threats to publish his private texts and photos with his mistress, Lauren Sanchez, a claim AMI has denied. Sources told The Daily Beast that Sanchez’s brother, Michael Sanchez, supplied the messages to the Trump-friendly National Enquirer. Documents show that Michael Sanchez thought the tabloid was chasing down the Bezos story with “President Trump’s knowledge and appreciation.” Sanchez also told The Washington Post that AMI staffers had told him the Enquirer was working on “a takedown to make Trump happy.”
