Critics of Michelle Wolf WHCD Performance are Being Hypocritical

The Right-wing was predictably up in arms over Michelle Wolf’s torching of the Trump administration Saturday. It led to this hysterical claim:

Liz Mair, who is a strategist working on behalf of the party of Donald Trump, melted down over the smokey eyes joke, which she thought was actually a joke about Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ weight and sexuality.

Not to be outdone there was this gem:

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said on Sunday that the White House Correspondents’ Association’s (WHCA) president should apologize to Sarah Huckabee Sanders for jokes at the White House press secretary’s expense during an event on Saturday evening.

Nevermind that Scaramucci worked for the most disgusting person on this planet. But he has support from someone in the ‘enemy’ mainstream media. I wonder if this has to do with Wolf’s blasting the press for profiting from Trump’s evil:

NBC’s Andrea Mitchell is taking some heat for her tweet demanding an apology be given to Press Secretary Sarah Sanders by the White House Correspondents’ Association for comedian Michelle Wolf‘s jokes.

I love these Twitter responses. Puts things in it’s proper perspective:

Then you have the Republican snowflakes who’s feelings were hurt and now want revenge:

We all know what the right-wing is all about. You don’t believe in the 1st amendment. And are willing to help this administration tear it up:

Wolf did have something to say in her own defense against a reporter who accused the comedian of making fun of Sarah Sanders’ appearance at the WHCD:

View Michelle Wolf’s performance and judge for yourself if she was over the top. In any case it’s free speech. And we have to deal with it–if we are Americans. We are not like Trump who is too much of a coward to take criticism.

  1. Boom:

The response of many Washington journalists is a particularly bad sign. It shows us some prominent sectors of the fourth estate are acquiescing to the Trump administration ― normalizing it ― rather than taking up the challenge of dealing with an authoritarian presidency.

Frankly, the reactions reek of an attempt to protect access by brown-nosing members of the administration ― but at the cost of legitimizing a president and an administration that has attacked the free press and called just about everyone in it a purveyor of “fake news.”
